4.5 out of 5 stars

We are left with a bit of a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to find where Kate and Miles go from here. This is not your typical D/s story. There is so much reflection and love conveyed  throughout this story. It is nice to be drawn away from the overly fanatical BDSM stories that are all the rage right now and watch as a real one unfolds. Pick it up and fall in love.

One element I really enjoyed about this book is that their relationship begins online. I have not read a book with that concept before, which is surprising considering that it’s an increasing way in which people meet and often fall in love.

There are so many scorchingly hot quotes which had me melting more than once. The diary section is amazing. I would fall to my knees for Paul if he clicked his fingers.

5 out of 5 stars - Superb very different by superb

Not the usual story I was expecting but fantastic nevertheless, a story that I didn't know where it was going. Kate had me wondering what the hell had happened to her but then as the story slowly unravelled itself you can understand her thoughts and feelings. This is not a normal Dom/sub relationship that anyone will be expecting in this first book but I can tell you that just makes it better and I can't wait to see where this goes, hopefully learning a little more of the past and a hell of a lot more of the future. This is definitely a lead, ladies, for those who like to feel their cheeks burn with desire.

Sassy Southern Book Blog's review of The Training of Kate

4 out of 5 stars

The Training of Kate takes us through the journey of Kate developing her sexuality. For her it starts out with a D/s relationship with her teacher in high school. Through this relationship (and Hot Sex !!) Kate learns that she is a submissive. Unfortunately her family finds out about her relationship with her teacher and move her to another school.

Throughout life she is always trying to find her first master in all other men. Unfortunately, they do not stand a chance.

Still getting over her divorce, Kate takes a holiday to find herself. While away she enters into a cyber-relationship and finds her sole mate. They only know each other online, but they are strongly attracted to each other immediately.

The sex scenes are great. I was a little confused by the cyber stuff but as the story goes on, everything works itself out.

The author gives us a different perspective on the Master and sub relationship and it is very interesting. I cannot wait to see how Kate and Myles’ relationship develops further from their online meeting.

OMG... And I thought that it could not get better than FSOG!

Well it can and it did and this book by my new favorite erotic author, Khul Waters, nailed it. It's everything I'd hoped and then some. Based on a true story, it's inspiring. Of course I'm not giving details because I hate spoilers.

I read it in one sitting and only took a couple of breaks to get my breathing back to normal and to cool down. Very hot, sexy, with a believable story.

A must have... You will want to be Kate, as I did. Can't wait for the next one!

Part of Carly Compass’ review of The Training of Kate

Yesterday, I read Khul Waters, The Training Of Kate, Book 1. A curious question kept circling around in my brain as I read his prose and I love when that happens. The question was why do I like this?

What I love about Khul Waters writing is that he examines every subtle nuance and his antagonist is both strong and gentle, brutal yet tamed.

Khul’s prose is superior to E.L. James, it is the male perspective to her female perspective, but more than that, it brought me to the question of, is our sexual taste bought about by nature or nurture?

Just like the writers above Khul Waters has blazed a new trail, but unlike E.L. James he has done it with an extraordinary writing technique where he delves into a woman’s psyche, his use of descriptive language is sparse and powerful. His prose is intelligent and purposeful. And his understanding of a woman’s body incredible.
